Primary duties of the Physician Assistant (PA) include assessing, planning and providing patient care under the supervision of a physician. The PA examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examinations, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination. May also perform surgical procedures under the supervision of a physician. The PA must also be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the radiology field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.
May require a master's degree with 2-4 years of related experience, and graduation from an accredited physician assistant program. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to Interventional Radiology. ACLS certification required.
