Union Avenue Open MRI

SERVICE UPDATE:

Our Open MRI will be unavailable from July 28 through October 10 for replacement. If you were hoping to schedule on the Open MRI, please consider one of our large bore scanners at TRA Gig Harbor or Diagnostic Imaging Northwest in Puyallup, Bonney Lake, or Sunrise. For patients who require an Open MRI, Rayus in Puyallup is an option, their phone number is 206-524-5599.  If your exam can wait, our upgraded Open MRI will be available starting October 10, offering higher quality images and faster scan times—great for claustrophobic patients.

Union Avenue Open MRI is conveniently located just off of Highway 16 on Union Avenue, across from the Target shopping center and next to the 2420 medical office building.

Our Open MRI is a true Open featuring a 270-degree unobstructed view.  It is open to the front, back and most of the sides —and is equipped with a roomy bed allowing a much more pleasant experience for larger and claustrophobic patients.

Visitor Policy: Prioritizing the health and safety of our patients and staff, we allow each patient to bring one healthy adult visitor or support person to their appointment. Please note that to maintain a safe environment, we request that patients and visitors do not bring children under the age of 12 as we do not have childcare facilities on site and children are not allowed in the examination rooms.

Masking Policy: Masking is optional but encouraged. For your comfort, if you prefer your direct care team to wear a mask during your visit, please let us know.

Weapons Policy: TRA Medical Imaging is a weapons-free facility. You will be asked to remove your weapon from our facility. If you refuse to remove the weapon, your appointment will be canceled and rescheduled for a later date.
