Welcome Dr. Melnyk

We’re excited to welcome Stephen Melnyk, MD, to the TRA Medical Imaging team. Dr. Melnyk brings a strong background in diagnostic radiology and a genuine passion for helping patients get answers quickly and accurately. His experience spans a wide range of clinical settings, giving him a well-rounded perspective on patient care and collaboration with referring providers.

Why Radiology?

Dr. Melnyk was drawn to radiology because of the variety it offers. Each day brings new patients and new challenges, and he enjoys working alongside physicians from many specialties to help guide care decisions. For him, radiology is about solving puzzles and making a real impact for a large number of patients every day.

What He Finds Most Rewarding

One of the most meaningful parts of his job is helping identify the cause of a patient’s symptoms. He finds it especially rewarding when imaging leads to an early diagnosis, allowing patients to begin treatment sooner. While radiology covers an enormous range of conditions and anatomy, that variety is exactly what keeps his work engaging and fulfilling.

Thoughts on New Technology

Dr. Melnyk is excited about how artificial intelligence is becoming part of everyday radiology practice. His prior experience in structured clinical environments taught him the value of careful, thoughtful adoption of new tools. He appreciates technology that helps deliver safe, timely, and accurate care to patients.

Life Outside the Reading Room

When he’s not at work, Dr. Melnyk enjoys spending time with his wife, who loves discovering new restaurants and food experiences. He also stays active with his dog, who joins him on outdoor adventures whenever possible. In his downtime, he enjoys golfing.
