We’re pleased to welcome Dr. Jimmy Nguyen to our radiology team. With a strong background in neuroradiology and a precise, detail-oriented approach, Dr. Nguyen brings a high level of technical skill and focus to his work. His commitment to accurate diagnosis and patient care makes him a valuable addition to our practice.

Putting the Pieces Together in Neuroradiology
Specializing in neuroradiology, he finds the greatest satisfaction in helping patients and providers uncover the reasons behind functional or sensory deficits. “It feels like placing the final piece in a puzzle,” he says—and it’s clear that this sense of purpose drives his work every day.

His favorite tool? The T2 3D SPACE MRI sequence, which he calls “peak coolness” for its ability to visualize CSF flow through the brain’s intricate structures. He’s especially excited about the future of radiology, imagining a world where volumetric imaging can help pinpoint diseases like Alzheimer’s or even primary progressive aphasia with more measurable precision.

From Programming to Patient Care
Before becoming a physician, he worked as a programmer and spent his younger years immersed in computer games—so it’s no surprise that radiology felt like a natural calling. “After years of training on the wards,” he jokes, “I was called to return to my natural habitat at the computer desk.” But behind that humor is a serious dedication to patient care and a curiosity that never stops evolving.

Life Beyond the Screen
Outside of work, he’s a longtime fan of martial arts, breakdancing, and video games. Though he admits he’s “aged out of some of these hobbies,” he’s rediscovered joy in introducing them to his kids. He grew up in Wichita, Kansas, and still fondly remembers the calm, spacious roads of his hometown—describing them as “like driving in a cozy safety blanket.”
