Welcome Dr. O’Connor

Meet Our New Radiologist: Dr. O’Connor
We’re excited to welcome a new radiologist to our team—Dr. Gregory O’Connor – someone who brings a thoughtful approach to imaging, a deep appreciation for collaboration, and a clear enthusiasm for the evolving role of technology in medicine.
With a subspecialty in abdominal imaging, he’s drawn to the complexity and variety the field offers. “I enjoy the breadth of pathology we encounter and the process of piecing together clinical history with imaging to interpret disease,” he says. “It’s incredibly rewarding to support our referring providers across surgery, GI, and other specialties who really value what radiologists bring to the table.”
He also has a keen interest in the future of radiology, especially how artificial intelligence is enhancing—not replacing—radiologists’ work. From triaging urgent findings to helping patients better understand their reports, he sees AI as a powerful tool to improve care. “It’s not just about reading scans faster—it’s about making the entire process smarter and more accessible.”
When deciding where to build his career, TRA Medical Imaging stood out. “I was looking for a physician-owned, subspecialized group,” he explains. “But what really impressed me was how kind and genuine everyone was during the interview process. That made all the difference.”
Outside the Reading Room
When he’s not reviewing scans, you’ll likely find him outdoors—running, hiking, playing volleyball, or lifting weights. He’s also a big fan of good food, whether he’s cooking at home or checking out a new restaurant post-workout.
Though new to living in the Pacific Northwest, he’s no stranger to the area. “My brother lives here, so I’ve visited a lot. I love the scenery and the wealth of outdoor activities.” That love for nature pairs well with his Cleveland roots, where he fondly remembers summer volleyball games on the shores of Lake Erie—despite the long winters.
Please join us in giving him a warm welcome to TRA—we’re glad he’s here.
